Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 06/01/2019

Number: 1

At about 12:50 today I took a break from gardening to cross the road to look in the dike where I often see critters...well today's critter was a Monarch!! It checked plants while flitting east. I have quite a few flowers now & lotsa milkweed (it was about 50' away from our mw) but it crossed the road & went to neighbour's house (no flowers). I could not re-locate it. There is Common Milkweed on the south bank of the dike just west of here. But all I could see were dead plants/pods from last year.
Cloudy & humid & under a severe thunder storm watch. 23°c/ 73°f. No wind, not even a breeze.
