Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/26/2019

Number: 12

We have seen Monarchs on our property every year since purchasing. Normally by September, there will hundreds of them.

The adults sighted recently were spread through the day. There are still a few stragglers through out the week coming by. They are usually found in the dogwood bushes or hairy locust trees. The farmers sprayed late and the blooms of the locust declined quickly after that. So, hummingbirds and butterfly sightings have dropped. In the fall, the butterflies tend to gather on the Elm trees.
