Yesterday around 6:30 PM I was watering flowers when a male arrived, chatting, and started to play in the hose water. We started the game on the northeast side of the house and continued onto the west side.

His favorite place to “play in the spray shower” is in his beloved, dogwood tree, by the dining room window. He played in the spray, preened, bathed, cleaned his feathers, and enjoyed fanning his tail as I provided a water-mist, showering down from the hose onto the dogwood’s leaves.
