June 10 in central New Jersey and this is the first monarch I have seen at my milkweed patch. She hung around at least a half hour (still here) nectaring on my larger milkweed plants but laying eggs on the smaller, less than 12” high milkweed plants. Starting to rain now I’m out a here.
