It was a beautiful sunny warm day in the low 70s after 2 days of rain in Central Michigan and the butterflies did not disappoint! I saw many Eastern Tiger Swallowtails on my neighbor's fragrant Japanese Lilac Bush but then later in the afternoon a Monarch finally came by and cooperated long enough so I could get a picture. It looked a little worn but it was nectaring heartily nonetheless!
