A somewhat faded monarch was laying eggs on milkweed in my garden, apparently preferring very small plants. I had been finding eggs but not seeing adults in the past few days. With several sightings, there could have been more than just one, but the appearance was consistent enough that it was probably the same one, just being persistent.
