Finally, I spotted the first monarch to my yard this season. They seem really late this year vs. previous years. I honestly didn't think they would ever arrive. I don't know about other folks but my milkweed is way behind schedule so it's probably for the best if the monarchs are arriving later than usual because any earlier and there wouldn't have been milkweed in my yard. I couldn't tell if it was male or female because it landed too far away.
