The FIRST monarch butterfly in my garden this year, 6-18-2019_5pm, after an all-day rain. The sun is out! We've had too much precipitation in Plains PA & expect more for days. The milkweek is suffering, with leaves turning colors & falling off, but so for there are flower buds that have opened. I have not seen many butterflies around, liess wildflowers along the streets, and people still using roundup pesticides in the neighborhood. At least there's an oasis here for a little while.
