Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/23/2019

Number: 1

As I was looking through my milkweed. I had spotted my first Monarch caterpillar. Very excited to see this. So I gather some milkweed as I am worried of other different types of caterpillars eating all the milkweeds. I have way over 100 but these ones eat up the leaves really quickly. Not sure how to get rid of them without hurting the milkweed. So took some milkweed clippings and a vase and added the milkweed to it and cut the leave off the milkweed that the monarch caterpillar was on and placed it safely on the cuttings and brought it inside.
