Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/26/2019

Number: 4

Early for us here this year! I found four inch-long larvae on speciosa, moved them to a parasitoid-proof enclosure on the patio in filtered natural light and gave them a small pot of homegrown incarnata for now. Have lots of backups and will give them fresh speciosa cuttings when they start eating more. Can't go more natural than this so hope it's a benefit to them.
