Mama black squirrel and her kiddo, who has a brown tail, like a fox squirrel.

Mama has been trying to encourage this juvie/youngster to be more independent: showing her child various routes, avenues and food sources in the forest. And, her child continues to follow her--very closely :) Usually squirrel children are more independent at this stage.
