Saline virginica aka "Fire Pink". Native plants, from Prairie Nursery, Westfield Wi.

12 plants added to the habitat for "hummingbird bait." Fire Pink likes sandy soil, partial sun, dry shade; and over time, will spread / self-sow.

Note: these plants are in a protected-fenced-area--because my deer friends like to eat them. Deer consumption preferences vary with different geographical areas.
