Buds--on a Michigan Lily--a native plant (birds may have brought these to our habitat).
This plant will soon be "hummer bait" when it blooms.
Michigan Lilies need safe places to live--near the house or protected by tall fences because they're adored and consumed by my deer friends.
Every year, these plants become taller, stronger, more sturdy. This plant is approx 5 years old, and is about 60 inches high.
