Fortunate to have 3 Blanding’s Box Turtles try to build nests around our property. We live on acreage with a pond at the back of our woods.
From our house up to the road is about 2,000 ft. Up hill. So they stay off the road, thank goodness.
The biology dept. professor I know estimated the age of one to be 25-30 years. This is the largest of the 3 we have roaming around our 15 acres.
