Bright fresh monarch butterfly visiting milkweed near to where a chrysalis was formed a week ago. The chrysalis is gone now, but it should be too soon for the butterfly to have emerged. The other chrysalis that we found a week ago (not sure when it was formed) is still there. No caterpillars. A week ago we counted 15. I think the wild turkeys are eating them.
