First year growing milkweed in backyard, we have found lots (20+) of eggs on the milkweed.
My husband has seen the adult monarch butterfly in the backyard a few times.
We also have found more then 5 tiny caterpillars.
3 caterpillars we brought inside to observe and are now inside in their chrysalises.
