Over a two day period a monarch has come and laid at least 28 eggs (total) on my butterfly weed and hairy balls milkweed. It also nectared a lot on the hairy balls flowers while laying. At one point, a hummingbird came to the hairy balls, and the monarch and hummingbird appeared to try to scare each other off. I did not get this on video. I’ve taken 28 eggs indoor and am working to hatch and raise them. Will be bleaching the eggs.
