Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/15/2019

Number: 1

It's sunny, 91 degrees with a dew point of 73. It's so oppressive that the Monarchs have taken cover. The only one I've seen is a female on an egg laying spree all over the yard. She was so fast. She laid eggs on common milkweed and even on the one swamp milkweed plant I put in this year. I put out a puddling pool but I haven't seen a taker yet. I guess Monarchs must be sensitive to heat and/or dew point.
