Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 07/16/2019

Number: 1

Monarch arrived early (first week of June) to my garden and laid a dozen eggs over several plants. None of those eggs survived. As of today, mid-July, I have ZERO larvae. I’ve had a number of visits and have observed eggs since that first sighting, yet not a single one has survived. To clarify, they’ve disappeared and the likely culprits are either ants or tiny wasps. Note that my milkweed is spread around my yard and in my wildflower patches. Not sure if I have “too much of a good thing” in that my gardens are attracting large numbers of pollinators, and with that I assume predators of caterpillars.
