Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/20/2019

Number: 1

First sighting this year at a location where Monarchs nectared almost daily last August and September. One slightly faded, adult Monarch fluttering near The VA Community Living Center community garden. The butterfly bush there is newly in bloom and had perhaps attracted it. The Monarch never stood still and so I was unable to identify its sex..
