Six upon returning home after camping - then two - and then another two. I had milkweed plants that I had not planted but had watered and two caterpillars fell into the water and drown. I'm feeling so sad. I ended up planting the rest of the plants down in the field in front of my place. Sometimes I wonder if something else is not getting some of the caterpillars too. Maybe they are growing fast and moving off plants.
