1st confirmed sighting of a female Monarch roosting in a wild black cherry tree at sunset. I've been planting more flowers for pollinators with some butterfly milkweed in our backyard. I have been checking for eggs and caterpillars, but have not seen any yet. We have had a very rainy summer with a bad hail storm about a month ago. I'm starting to see more butterflies in our neighborhood every day.
