Three separate sightings of Monarchs nectaring among the extensive blooming milkweeds plants that flank the ADK Log road in North Elba near Lake Placid, NY. The only one I was able to photograph clearly enough to ID sex is in the attached picture---a male. I did not see many signs of caterpillar feeding on the leaves of the milkweed but there are what look like hundreds of milkweed plants...The only plants that may have had caterpillars recently were on the east side of the road.
