One of the larvae decided to form its chrysalis even though it was smallish. I collected it as a first instar about 10 days ago and it looked more like a fourth than a fifth instar when it went to the top of the container and started preparing to J-hook. I thought it wouldn't make a chrysalis but it did. It's a smallish chrysalis just like the larvae but it's perfect. I'm being optimistic and hoping a smallish but perfect monarch emerges in 10 or so days.
