Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/29/2019

Number: 43

In the patch by the restaurant, the cats are fat! I'm sure there are more, I only spend about 5 minutes looking. There are so many. I am not collecting cats or food from this area any more because several captive cats from the patch have been victims of the tachinid fly. We can see the flies throughout the patch. We've had fly larva and even flies hatching in our cages. We think perhaps the natural controls for tachinids were destroyed when Orkin came by to treat the restaurant -- didn't kill the cats or flies though.
