74-degrees, calm, cloudy--the monarch stayed on the butterfly bush for several minutes, returning twice before flying west into the neighbor's yard with green grass and an apricot tree.

This house has no yard, but is on the edge of a slot canyon with mostly ponderosas, scrub oak, Siberian elm.
