At the Tip at Point Pelee National Park 7pm-830pm
25°c Clear skies with light 10kph wind
With few reports from the NE of here of more than normal monarch activity reported, 6-12 on directional flight & small clusters I was curious to see activity. No unusual activity outside the Park at our home. Usual activity of 2-3 fluttering about through the day..males patrolling & both F & M nectaring.
At Tip observed a Monarch rested on a tree branch, another left tree line & headed out south to the Tip. Did not see it return. Once back up on west path observed a Monarch enter tree & perch. (Pic)
At Tip parking lot a Monarch appeared & settled on a tree branch.
In car headed north to exit park. At NW Beach observed a Monarch flitting about over foliage behind most southern restroom building.
