Monarch Waystation #271 reports early 5th instar monarch larvae on 2 Tropical milkweed potted plants on the morning-shaded side of the patio, seen about 10:45 am as I watered plants in the front yard. There were 4 larvae per plant, some actively feeding, others resting on the undersides of leaves. There was no diligent search of milkweeds for other larvae or eggs.
