My neighbor has a flower garden with a few patches of milkweed plants that are LOADED with larvae. We counted 8 final instars, as well as at least 5 others in earlier stages of development. We also saw 2 monarch females in the 10 minutes we were there laying additional eggs on the plants! :) I brought 5 of the big guys in to my house tank to ensure their survival!:)
