Monarch Waystation #271 reports sighting a female monarch laying 2 eggs on milkweeds in the backyard today about 10:45 am as I came to dump weeds in the bulk waste bin on the patio. One egg was deposited on Tropical milkweed growing in the back yard near the neighbor's fence, the other egg on the Swamp milkweed growing near the heat pump. Hope she returns to oviposit more eggs after I scared her off.
