Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/06/2019

Number: 40

I have seen more Monarch Butterflies in the wild at our waystation (11285 ) then I have ever seen this year. We are seeing 40 to 50 a day feeding on swamp milkweed and other wild flowers of the season. They are laying eggs on all parts of the common milkweed. I collected several eggs of the last generation, some have just hatched, many in between, some are chrysalis, looks like another good year.
We have also notice a lot of other types of butterflies this year,
giant swallowtails, spicebush swallowtail, black swallowtail, eastern tiger swallowtail, there are butterflies everywhere.
