After a hot and muggy Wednesday we have a cool and dry Thursday. It was 59 degrees early this a.m. with clear skies and bright sun. The Monarchs appeared just after 8 a.m. in the garden on the East side of the house where the sun is bright. They avoided the areas of the yard that haven't been reached by the sun as yet. They seem to be a little slower early in the morning when the weather is a little cooler. I was easily able to walk up to this guy and snap a picture.
