Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/06/2019

Number: 5

I had robins nesting in the eaves of our house. They had 2 successful nests. This is a reporting of the 2nd nest which had 4 nestlings all of whom fledged. As the Adult Male Robin died on the 1st day of incubation, I started putting out mealworms to help the adult female robin feed her nestlings then her fledglings. This was the last day I saw them in our backyard continuously throughout the day (I was still serving mealworms). the next day (Aug 7) they virtually disappeared (despite the fact that I was still serving mealworms). I did see them the following day Aug 8 but only in the morning to bathe and again in the evening to bathe. But they were not at all interested in eating the MWs.
