I looked out my kitchen window and I saw it fly by. I have many milkweed plants in my back yard and some flowers. I saw it at 11:55AM. It is a very sunny day about 75 degrees Fahrenheit. I also have a large, long strip of woods in back of my back yard. Last year, I had a monarch caterpillar on a milkweed plant. The observation today is my first for Lawrence, Mass. of a monarch butterfly, so you can imagine how excited I felt.
