@Monarch Waystation #271 I briefly came upon a female monarch checking milkweeds in the front yard as I came out the front door to water patio pots. She was seen ovipositing one egg on a Purple milkweed and one on a Tropical Milkweed about 11:23 am. She then flew out of sight up and over the roof towards the south. A diligent search of all milkweeds for other eggs was not done; how many other eggs she left before I saw her remains uncertain.
