Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/13/2019

Number: 1

12:30 am on my porch. Storms were to our North west this evening and possibly blown on our porch. Flapping it's wings a lot, thinking a possible new emergence?? It was having difficulty remaining up right (acted top heavy tipping over head first then the wings would fall over to one side or another) and placed into my flower bed on the ground to maintain a firm hold. Attempted to give shallow saucer of sugar water but unable to stay upright, but maintained a good hold on my finger. Will check on it once day breaks. Wings were approx 2" in width, healthy vibrant coloration, no defects, injuries or damage observed. All it's legs appeared to be functioning without problems.

Went out to check on the Monarch who was having trouble staying upright (2 am) due to another storm fast approaching, and it was gone. Could not find it near any plants or in the general area.
