cant seem to post on this page, tried twice, maybe without a video clip itll work.. too bad its been a crazy year with these birds. i make approx 4 gallons of syrup each week & I'm already sad they'll be leaving soon. So many juveniles this year. Not sure if these are this years local hatchlings, or first year travellers already on the way to wintering grounds. we have a hundred or more here in the evening for supper, in the trees, at the feeders, in the air, we risk a collision just stepping outside! We've also rescued several from the tippy top section of our deck canopy, cant figure out why they cant drop down and fly out on their own. I'd say it's happened 4-5 times this year.
