Saw a few monarchs laying eggs in middle of July in richmond, Va. Was confused they would be here, but for the last 3 years sightings have occurred during this mid summer. However, very hot summer this year and about 12 chrysalids fell to floor once emerged. Did heat and humidity affect them?
