Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/14/2019

Number: 120

I have been seeing at least one or two Monarchs daily since July. These early butterflies left me with about 30 cats that ate voraciously, and now in August, I have an overabundance of cats! Asclepias plants are getting stripped! I have to keep watch and move them to other Asclepias locations that don't have such a large population on them. I hope this is the last stage as there won't be any more leaves in my yard on which the new Monarchs can lay egg. Wow what a great summer for the Monarchs!
