Alas, you know it's nearing the end of summer when the Ruby-throats are on the move again. I seem to only get them with the southbound migration and today is my first sighting of a lone female nectaring from some of my flowers. It was about 6pm. She caught me by surprise and by the time I reached my camera she flew off so no pictures today. My eyes will be peeled for the next 6 weeks or so.
