This is the same spot where I counted 15 stage 3-5 larvae last week. Today I counted 6 more, but itty bitties! From just hatched (1) to first and second instars. They were often sharing milkweed with other much larger larvae. (Didn't count those as they could have been the ones I counted last week!)
In this image, you can see an adult on top of a leaf, then in the background a first instar then in the foreground on the stalk another 2cnd instar! There was another that just hatched on an upper leaf but I couldn't get it in the picture! Soooo many larvae!! :)
