Still have two RT males that are constantly competing for flower and feeder nectar. Since they are working at putting on their migration weight they come to the feeders every ten to fifteen minutes for long drinks.
Too bad I didn’t have a video for this mornings chase....Two males were vying for a feeder, another showed up and a chase ensued....a perfect Blue Angels triangle formation (one up front two side by side) ...they banked around the shed and flew the entire length of the front yard still in perfect formation,..spectacular. I never saw anything like it. I’m sure the male in the picture was part of the chase.
