Made a tour of our main grassland and saw 87 Monarchs. I did not detect directional flight today. I think they are staging as I saw a couple daytime roosts about 1/2 mile to the west on a prairie remnant. Blazing star, Goldenrod and Joe pye weed are in bloom.
