Tiger Swallowtail on a zinnia.
Also had a black Swallowtail BF today and at least 4 of the past 7 days. Rarely see them.
I have had more BF's in my garden this year than EVER BEFORE! Not sure why that is. I don't have as many zinnias as I have had in the past.
Last year I added 2 swamp milkweed plants which have grown large and bushy this year. But they never attracted BFs until this year.
I also added 6 other MW plants, tropical, Gomphocarpus and one other. I don't see the BFs on the MW very much though. mostly they are floating around. My neighbor says that he also has seen more BFs this year than EVER BEFORE! Do you have any info about that? I suspect that it is b/c we had such a wet year last year.
Any thoughts?
