I purchased 14-16 monarch eggs about July 20 from Kansas U and have been raising monarchs since then. I received 18eggs that I know of and lost one tiny little caterpillar on Sat. I think it must have been an egg on the leaves I fed them b/c it was only 1" long or less after 10 days when it died and the others were 2.5" long and making chrysalises. Plus I had one more than I originally counted. The 2nd one died during the pupate phase where it looses its head and turns into a chrysalis. So I still have 17 chrysalides in 2 cages, plus the eggs that I found.
