At the south end of the field where the old hospital was torn down, there is a large patch of horsetail milkweed.
I saw a monarch adult flying above the patch, it’s wings were faded and a bit torn.
Upon inspecting the milkweed a saw a large monarch caterpillar and a much smaller one . There may have been more.....
