On my 2 mile walk today, I counted 5 monarchs and captured by net a male monarch and tagged it with Tag AAEL-927. Also today, the goldenrod plants are beginning to bloom and the monarchs have been nectaring on the purple colored Bull Thistle in bloom. Weather was cloudy with a hint of rain with the Wind NNW turning to the South at 7 mph at 2:30 PM. The Temperature was 78F.
