The larva was on milkweed vine. It was about 1 1/2 inches long.
It did not eat all day. Left inside a zipped closed net container over the weekend. Returned Monday a.m. it was elongated, brownish with a dried clear string hanging from it's body. At the end of the string lay a white larva pointed at each end which had parasitized the caterpillar. By the end of the day the larva had pupated to a brown pill capsule shape. Discovered there was a second pupa close by. Leaving it in the enclosed netting to see if a fly or wasp or ? will hatch out.
