I moved 6 small caterpillars from 1 Cinderella Incarnata that’s covered in fungus to the more robust native Incarnata and noticed that 3 plump 5th instars were munching away on the next plant over. I try to rotate where I place them to give them each plenty of room to grow. I don’t believe any have made it into 5th instar on the other Cinderella plants. Although they get plenty of eggs too. I hope the new occupants will keep the milkweed growing.
