Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/23/2019

Number: 1

Monarch Waystation #271 reports a juvenile hummingbird seen @11:20 am "making the rounds" nectaring on blooms in the front yard. Tithonia blooms were the favorites, and Tropical Milkweeds were also sampled before the bird flew eastwards and up over the roof presumably towards my neighbor's backyard nectar feeder. Did not see any tail spots, underside was grayish, there may have been faint streaks on the throat as well but changing angles of observation and lighting made it a challenge to confirm field marks.
